BONJOUR!
*wipes dust off the keyboard*
It has indeed been a long time since I've posted. But, rest assured, or rather be distinctly annoyed, for this will be a massive post. I mean disgustingly long. I'm talking about absurdly, obnoxiously, without a shadow of a doubt, the absolute, horribly, most insanely obscenely, uncharacteristically uncalled for length ever present in a post.
Luckily, it will all be shielded by a cut.
Unluckily, it's the first of two of its type.
Without further adieu or wordiness, I give to you:
England.
( Cheers. )
Keep in mind, that was just a sprinkling of the week we spent there, but I thought I'd spare you from the 375 pictures we took and keep it shorter. Next up: France! :)

SO.
As you all may or may not have noticed, I've been away for quite some time. Away, that is, in the facet that I, as away so connotes, have not been "here." However, here, a word which in this instance means "not posting on Live Journal to entertain my millions of adoring fans," does not include the possibility that I may have very well been creeping around LJ. And by "possibility" and "may have," I mean "probability" and "definitely have been." So, as you may or may not have noticed, I've noticed you noticing or not noticing the fact that I have not been "here." This has been your formal notice.
*Adoption of a Jim Carrey-esque persona* BUT ANNNNNNYWAAAAAY...
I've decided to update this intellectual garbage dump, "garbage dump" here meaning "an electronic receptical into which I put the thoughts I don't feel comfortable sharing out loud because the articulation of such thoughts would mean definite ridicule and certain coming to fruition of extreme annoyance."
NOT PART OF AN UPDATE
We take a break from your regularly scheduled programming to inform you that the writer of this article has just finished Lemony Snicket's Book the Twelfth, The Penultimate Peril, in under three hours and has as such taken to typing and thinking like the author due to a renewed love of all things Baudelaire.
PART OF AN UPDATE
I shan't take up your time too much longer, (not...that...anyone is actually reading this...) but have merely left a query and an announcement. With regards to my query, doth anyone know how to delete all one's former entries? I'd like to do so in mass so as to start my journal all over again. With regards to my announcement...
I'M FREAKIN' GOING TO LONDON FROM THE MIDDLE OF DECEMBER UNTIL THE 31ST.
Yes, I'm aware this may not be of significant "ooh" and "ahh" value to anyone, but I rarely get out...gimme' a break. :D
Ta!
EDIT: I downloaded a rather handy livejournal client via which it seems I can edit and post entries without being logged on and manipulate my friends list (via the deletion of those who don't give me comments...you bastards) as well. However, upon scaling through all my old entries, I've decided to keep all of them, because, well, It's just too much work to delete them. And thus, I shall away to other pursuits and further my chances of burning in hell for the continual perpetuation of the sin that is sloth.

( Vingt )
Oh, tagging other people. *sighs* I'm quite frankly too lazy, and you all suck. As such, I say do it if you wish, and if not, may you live until 120...AT WHICH TIME YOU DIE A PAINFUL DEATH.

| Modern, Cool Nerd 82 % Nerd, 65% Geek, 30% Dork |
| For The Record: A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. You scored better than half in Nerd and Geek, earning you the title of: Modern, Cool Nerd. Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)! Congratulations! Also, you might want to check out some of my other tests if you're interested in either of the following: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Professional Wrestling Love & Sexuality Thanks Again! |

Hello! Goodbye! Okay, Update quota met. :D
Okay I'm a liar! You all thought you were getting away that easy? As it is you're probably a) showing an extreme amount of apathy for this post, as I rarely make them anymore, or b) saying to yourself, "crap, I thought I was going to get away with one stupid picture, and now he's going to start talking about things that actually hapenned to him over the summer."
Well I'm sorry, but if a or b were relevant to you, you're just going to have to bear through this. I rarely post, so suck it up. *ignores blatantly the fact that anyone could simply see and ignore this*
But I digress. I should probably pick up where I left off. At last update, my cousin had left, I had had (OMG. GRAMATICALLY CORRECT USE OF TWO OF THE SAME WORD. *crosses that off of my list of things to have done by the time I die*) gum surgery, and had read Harry Potter and Subtextual Slashiness Between Harry and Draco McFoy. At that time, I was relatively content to settle in for an August filled with sleeping in, wasted days, and lots of reading. However, as August draws to a close, though I can safely say there was both lots of sleeping in and reading, I find that I've enjoyed my summer a lot more than I thought I would.
Over the course of the last month (it's been a couple of days more than a month since I've posted, but who's getting technical? *glares* If YOU do, I'll come to your house and I will cut you.), I've seen a lot more
katrinaswift than is safe for my well being and sanity, (I jest, she's good for putting up with me...barely) and have subsequently seen a lot of Xandi and Co. (refer to Deth's journal for the hotness that is Xandi.) From such hanging out there spawned plenty of shenanigans worth mentioning, but I'll refrain due to the lack of people who will actually get what the hell I'm talking about. I've also had the pleasure of seeing mon best compadre Jayne, but not nearly as much as I'd like to have done. What can be said to have resulted from a month filled with hanging out and going places, however, is that if I learnt nothing else this summer, I can now navigate my own city and the surrounding areas by street number and cross street as opposed to saying things like, "Oh yeah, it's down by that place next to that Mcdonalds." :D (Though I've yet to master the art of giving directions to my own house. :( )
In the waying of reading, a lot has been done, as per my usual when boredom strikes. Among the things I've read, I can reccommend Choke by Chuck Palahniuk, Born Blue by Hans Nolan, and The Duke and I by some romance author or another as the most notably enjoyable. Yes, if anyone noticed the last book in that list, I have indeed become addicted to the fluff-filled world that is Romance novels. And if that's wrong, I don't want to be right.
However, moving ahead to the present, today is my birthday! Hurrah! I'm 16 years old! Yes, that makes me still younger than a good portion of the people on my friends list, and as per the usual when I first turn a certain age, I don't feel any different, but it's considered somewhat of a mini-milestone. Let us all take a look at some of the noteable figures that have died during the past 16 years...Okay no, what am I? A CNN special. God. You people make me sick. Heh.
Thus far, I've ordered two books and one video game (who the hell orders video games online? I do!), have been given a multitude of gift certificates, which I can only assume is the in thing these days, and have gotten my hands on Ray Charles's newest CD, Genius Loves Company. My party has yet to take place, and I can't to see some of the people I haven't seen in so long. (Namely Xandi and Deth, I mean, it'll have been a whole three or four days. ^_^)
Well, I think that qualifies as a meaty enough entry. But, before I go, I'll enclose the one story I managed to have my lazy ass write over the summer, tell me what you all think and all that jazz.

HAMMY! NOOO!

Singing : Rent - Seasons of Love
The aforementioned (aforeseen? meh) "Hammy" clearly refers to my cousin Abie. He left after having been visiting for about three weeks, during which time (and in the time slightly before which) I simply chose not to update because I'm a horrible person and I fail at life. Since, my ever dwindling commenters, we last talked, I had the pleasure of getting gum surgery among other things. It was delightful, if by delightful one means filled with pain and bleeding. But my once-receding gum line (hair line? god I should hope not) has been fixed and now I have no worries of becoming toothless. As well, I hath, due to my sneaky nature, seen with Abie every movie out in theaters. Literally. Among them, Dark Water, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Wedding Crashers were really the only ones worth my money. Luckily the others were snuck in to and as such no money was needed to see what crapfests they were. More importantly than anything though, I got and finished the sixth book. No, this post won't be spoiler-ridden so worry not. It was really really REALLY great but left me feeling kind of cheated. Almost a "Here's all the backstory I didn't have a place for in my other books" kind of book. All the same it tied greatly into what I'm sure will be a killer ending to the series. Literally.
OMFG CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE TITLE OF THE DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE SONG IS IN THE TRAILER FOR SHOPGIRL? I HAVE STUCK IN MON HEAD AND LARK IT. KTHNXBAI.

Singing : Disney - Go The Distance
Hello all!
I haven't posted in a long time and am a loser because I'm just posting to clear my e-conscience. There's only 5 more school days left and BLAZAMIE! School is done! I'll probably study French and Math over the summer just so I won't be behind when I come back because those are the two subjects I always come back to with a look of sheer ":S" on my face. Yes, those subjects have the ability to bend my face into the shape of an S. DO NOT QUESTION ME! Since last I was on I've been to Deth's concerto of awesomeness and back. (Wow, long concert...um...Note: subtly pointing out loopholes in the Enlgish language doesn't make you cool.) In any case, though I already told her, let it now formally be know that she was brilliant, has a nice house (though I've been before but wow...wow.) and had great hair that day. (Whatever happened to Tewks,
katrinaswift, any updates?) In any case and in more recent news, I have five days to go from a B to an A in gym or I fail at life and end the year with a 3.8 GPA. GOSH! I have also recently come to the conclusion that I do far too much work. Five socials questions last night turned out to be 10 pages long. I received 95 for homework (huge semester review). If my work level stays the same that's 190 pages. 190 PAGES FOR GOD'S SAKE! I pledge to only answer in short point form format. (Read: I'll be doing 190 pages.) Without further delay, an upDATE list:
- 35 days until Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince!
- 5 school days until school "poofs!"
- 12 day days until my English Provincial (how do I study for that? [read: I won't])
- approximately 70 days until my Birthday! REMEMBER THAT ALL OUT THERE THINKING OF GETTING ME SOMETHING (no one.)
